Casa de Montecristo gives the adult cigar consumer the premier cigar experience, featuring large selections of premium cigars, modern lounges, walk-in humidors and full bars across the multiple locations in the United States.

Responsible for general accounting operations and financial transactions. Including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all company accounting tasks.

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of accounting data into the company's financial system.
• Monitor that each expense is recorded in the correct account.
• Manage and execute amortizations according to the predetermined schedule
• Maintain diligent oversight of the prepayment account to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and reconcile end-of-month intercompany journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Accurately register all deposits into system in a timely manner
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and the company's financial records
• Setting a budget in the system: Engage with each department head to understand their financial needs and priorities for the upcoming fiscal period. Collect and analyze past spending data and financial reports from each department to establish a realistic baseline.
• Manage and record monthly accruals to accurately reflect incurred expenses within the financial period
• Work closely with marketing to make sure all the expenses are in the right place
• Maintain regular communication with counterparties across the group to ensure alignment and consistency of information
• Prepare invoices to other companies in the group

Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking knowledge
• Teamwork oriented
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good oral and written communication skills, Spanish a plus
• Must be comfortable working with tobacco products, specifically premium cigars.
• Problem analysis and resolution

• Conditions are nearly ideal. They include usual office working conditions
• Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (Under 10lbs)
